Don't You Just Love it When a Plan Comes Together?

That catch phrase always reminds me of George Peppard in the A Team, it used to be one of my favourite action programs when I was a kid, I can even still hum the theme tune!

Thinking about how branding like that sticks with us forever and calling to mind some of the associations that we make after that kind of successful branding exercise helps to realise why some advertising executives are paid a small fortune to do their thing.

So how can you capitalise on that factor to brand yourself in the online arena and why should you?

Myself I used to have a bit of an issue with this - branding myself smacked of presenting some kind of false image, until I realised that branding just meant becoming recognisable for what you do, not necessarily what you want others to think :)

Approaching business and any new contacts with honesty, integrity and with helping them in mind, to a large extent ensures that branding takes care of itself. It's a slow process but it works incredibly well if you do it this way. If you do this consistently, you will gradually become known and recognised as someone who offers valuable information, training and insights, who thinks about what they share and who has other people’s best interests in mind. In other words, you will gradually become, in the eyes of others, the sort of person they want to do business with and the sort of person they want to learn from.

Likewise, if you approach your business and new contacts with the aim of simply besting everyone else, outstripping the competition, and with little other thought or care, you run the risk of being thought shallow, bombastic, selfish, out for your own ends - all pretty negative stuff to be looking at in a potential business partner - again the branding has taken care of itself, but how long is it going to take you to overcome that perception and be able to generate trust and rapport with your target market?

Recognition is a marketers life blood (as long as it’s positive ) I don't believe that any publicity is good publicity, so being recognised for the wrong thing is definitely not on my list of things to do and I sincerely hope that it's not on yours either :)

In order to pull that together and return to the plan that's coming together, for me it's about two things at the moment:

A great training system that I found presented by experienced attraction marketers who want to share their good fortune and skills for free no less (ok, ok they would also like you to buy their other courses from them when you feel ready, but believe me the free training is excellent value and more than sufficient to get people off to a flying start and enable anyone to delop their own expert skills in marketing and team development).

and

A new business income stream that is exciting and has so much potential. It's something that everyone is interested in on some level, love it or hate it :) and is something that will always be in demand hence my excitement that I just wanted to share with you lol.
